Seven days in and I have not touched one drop of Diet Pepsi (or any soda at all).  Seeing as my Wife still drinks it and seeing it in the fridge has been tempting, then I think of my goal and grab water instead.  I was reading online for  healthy alternatives to replace my soda and quite often carbonated water was mentioned.  I have tried in the past and not a fan but, adding oranges, lemons and limes gives it a nice kick and makes for a refreshing drink.

Running has been going good, week 4 starts tonight and there will be longer runs of 5 minutes.  This is what I will be doing tonight.

Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:

  • Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
  • Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
  • Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)
  • Walk 1/4 mile (or 2-1/2 minutes)
  • Jog 1/4 mile (or 3 minutes)
  • Walk 1/8 mile (or 90 seconds)
  • Jog 1/2 mile (or 5 minutes)

I will most likely be huffing and puffing that last 5 minutes 😉
